Surprise a Snake

We had a huge surprise in the quail cage. My daughter has been helping with feeding the birds/rabbits and she had already put food in for the quail. She noticed in another cage that they needed more water, so when she went back to this one to give them more water, she was shocked to find this. I am thankful we had some heavy bricks that we were able to place on top to keep him intact until my husband got home. He had at least 4 quail in his belly, he was very full. I am thankful it was just a rat snake and that he has been relocated far from our home. It showed us we need to replace the wood ceiling on this cage, for now these 16 quail will share a cage with some guinea hens.
