Thankful Thursday

I must admit I still feel like my lungs have been pounded in by bricks, like my throat is raw and on fire but I find I am ever so thankful this week.
My son was sick and he is starting to feel better, but we got to enjoy a sick day together on Tuesday.
My younger two took their BenchMark Tests for school and felt good about them.
The three kids have pitched in to help with dishes, feeding the dogs and the bathroom cleaning without complaining- a MIRACLE I TELL YOU.
My husband has not been upset over the condition of the house or the fact that I have gotten very little done- he has been very sympathetic to my not feeling well, even though I am personally upset over the condition of the house and my lack of getting quilt orders finished.
I am very thankful to all my online friends who have lent support and kind words as I have been working through the sadness that came with the passing of my Grandfather Kale.
I am thankful that I only have one more Tax statement to wait on so we can file our taxes and get that done and over with.
I am thankful to have gotten a Lemonade Award for my Blog this week- that was very uplifting.
I am thankful to Des who introduced me to some hilarious books - one of which I found at the library yesterday called Plum Lucky by Janet Evanovich. I am enjoying the book so much.
I am thankful to come across the Elm Creek Kitchen book-which I borrowed but it is really neat and has lots of recipes.
I am also ever so thankful for the break in the extreme cold weather and for the beautiful SUNSHINE outside.
Most of all I am thankful for the love and support of my family, that we have a warm house over our head, with lights and food and a warm fire, that we all love each other and just enjoy each others company so much. My children have been an amazing comfort in just the little things that they do and I feel like a Truly Blessed Mom for sure.
So what are you thankful for today?
Sunshine

  1. I am thankful that my family is healthy and that my sewing machine is almost working perfectly again! I too am thankful to have a husband who seems to be oblivious to the fact that the house is wrecked while I sew, hehe! Glad things are going well for you!
