Purex Plus Clorox 2 Giveaway

Giveaway for One Coupon to TWO Winners of Purex plus Clorox 2 Stain Fighting Detergent

My husband is probably the one with the most stained clothes. Most everything is very set in so its difficult to maybe test this detergent for a true accurate account of how well it works with his shirts. When I picked up our son at college I knew this pillow was on my list. I was a little embarrassed to bring it down from his dorm. It is VERY Yellow, and just a little gross honestly. I think going to bed with wet hair probably isn't the best idea.

Surprisingly it is only a year old. I asked him about washing it, he said sure give it a try. He was just going to buy another one.

I washed it with Purex Plus Clorox 2 Stain Fighting Liquid Detergent. I did use hot water in this load with a cold water rinse. It does note on the bottle that you can "Pre-treat tough stains by rubbing some Purex Plus Clorox 2 detergent into the fabric and let it sit for 5 minutes before washing." I think on clothing this would be a great option for those spaghetti sauce, juice, oil stains.

He was amazed that it wasn't yellow anymore. It also smelled wonderful which was great. Constant wet hair smell on a pillow isn't so great. It was gentle enough that it didn't bother the fabric of the pillow like bleach itself might. It really has a bright clean appearance and what I love is that it is safe on colors too, so no bleach spots from the accidental splashing when adding bleach to a laundry load. I can tell you I have a few clothing items from that issue.
Purex plus Clorox 2 detergent works on 100 stains through their stain fighting enzymes. What is nice is that sometimes OXY CLEAN which is used so commonly in detergent can leave my skin feeling itchy. This product doesn't have that issue with its safe bleach additive.

I am giving away a coupon to two winners which were provided to me by Purex all you have to do is enter through Rafflecopter using your email or Facebook page. You can enter and have additional entries by following the information.

Disclosure:  Thank you for entering my giveaway. Purex provided me with a product sample for this review and all opinions expressed are my own. This giveaway is for US entries only. You must me 18 years of age to enter. All winners must complete the mandatory entry to win. You have 24 hours to respond by email with a mailing address or another winner will be randomly selected.

The winner wins a coupon to purchase the product. I am not responsible for lost or stolen coupons in the mail. This coupon is only good for 1 Free bottle of detergent up to $7.00 off Purex Liquid or Powder Detergent. It expires 12/31/2016.

Martha Home Mary Way Book Giveaway

I am giving away one copy of Sarah Mae's new Book
I posted some more information about the challenge, links to her blog earlier today. I wanted to do a little more and provide you with a copy so that you can participate in the challenge. I will be posting the days challenge and accomplished task, so you can follow along for the 31 days if you would like, you can also participate along with her Blog or mine until your copy arrives.
If you have cleaning tips of your own, supplies you love, I would love to hear all about it, leave me a blog post comment.

6 Months of House Cleaning

A few years back I participated in something called 31 Days to Clean, what a blessing that was. You can see a post here
Sarah Mae has written a book based on that printable/challenge many of us followed called Having a Martha Home the Mary Way. I absolutely love it.
Recently I entered a contest for 6 months of house cleaning for free. I truly need it. Working in your own home is challenging. It is difficult sometimes to balance everything from quilt orders to homework to being a taxi service for my high- schoolers and college student.
At least once a week I ask the Lord to help me in this area, probably truly much more often than that.
Organization is something I truly need help on. Its challenging because this house has many old features, it lacks a garage, attic space, closets. These are places where you store things you aren't using, things you don't need every day. We have none of that. One of the bedrooms is so challenging because the previous home owners put the washer and dryer where the closet should be. The Loft, which now houses two boys isn't even tall enough for them to walk in. At the very center of the room where the stairs lead you can actually stand, but if you veer either direction you must duck otherwise you hit your head. We recently added some mock closet space to it, but it requires some other creative solutions to become a little more livable.
When I saw this new book, I new it was calling out to our family, not just to me. I had been following Sarah Mae's daily posts on her blog and I entered the contest. I will admit I never dreamed I would truly win 6 months of house cleaning. I don't even know what that would look like.
Surprise, I won~
It was exciting and terrifying all at the same time. We live in a small town, it has stores and a post office and lots of schools, however, we live in a sort of farm lifestyle as well. I mean you have seen my posts we are hatching chicken eggs inside our home. Now how exactly do I explain that to a house cleaning service, it seems a little strange I am sure.
The only obstacle I saw was that I had planned to go through the 31 Day Challenge that starts April 11th. I didn't really want a service to come in until after that was complete. (If you would like to sign up, you can go to the link and their is a place for your email. Her blog posts can be sent to you directly)
What is truly interesting is as side work to help ends meet I often clean peoples homes, watch their animals while they are out of town etc. Now I am looking at someone clean our home. What an awesome prospect.
I need a service that does more than clean. I need help organizing our tiny space, which is much smaller with a quilting business in my living room, an exercise area in my den and my daughters personal study nook in my bedroom.
Anyway it is going to work out wonderfully. I feel a sense of relief. I know the Lord is answering this desire of my heart. I am super grateful to have this GIFT.
I can't wait to see how it all unfolds between June and December. I plan to post some photos of the progress. I also am wanting to host a giveaway of Sarah Mae's new book, you can also purchase a journal to go along with it. The challenge starts April 11th. If you need to do a little spring cleaning, organize a room, get something under control, then join us. Lets take back our homes and make a martha home the mary way.
I am very excited for this new journey.

Mother's Day Coupon Giveaway for Mas Detergent from Purex

Happy Mother's Day

This is an unusual coupon giveaway. I have four $1 off coupons for Mas Detergent. This is made by Henkel, the mother company that makes Purex detergent. They sell a version for Darks and Whites. I have FOUR coupons to giveaway for this lovely Mother's Day. First let me explain the picture. My daughter just had her 13th birthday and she is very much into wolves lately. I found a vendor on ETSY and purchased her some wolf shirts. However, I had ordered two white and 3 black, well she got all black. When you have these graphic shirts made they require a tad bit more care. You have to turn them inside out and then with black it is nice to have a detergent that will help them from fading since it is especially made for the clothing color. It was the perfect detergent for her new items.
Mas Detergent is hosting a Mother's Day Sweepstakes. It seems a little misleading because it says Hispanic Mother's so I went through and read the fine print just to make sure- anyone can enter to win. I know my family could use $1000 and I am sure yours could too so go to this link and enter to win- it will be one of the options for the rafflecopter too.

When I was a child I didn't really dream about being a mother. I dreamt of being a mother to lots of other mother's children. I wanted to be in the community helping children and seniors have a better life. To be a role model and an inspiration. My mom volunteered a lot when I was young and she always really tried to be there for people. It has almost been three years without her come June 2013 and not a day goes by that I don't wish I could pick up the phone and call her. She is my inspiration for a lot of what I do in life. I seem to take on huge mountains of opportunity. Recently I ran our town's Depot Day. It was a huge task but I was up for the challenge. So many people criticized my efforts and desires and many said they didn't understand. I seem to be getting that same reaction lately every time I volunteer for anything- from game nights at school to running the 8th grade off campus Tshirts since our school did not have them this year and I had enough students, teachers and parents interested. My life is very different than what I imagined it to be. I have three children of my own- something no one could have told me would come to be and I would have believed it. I take the role of their mother very seriously. I have high expectations and they seem to rise to the challenge most of the time. There are always bumps in that road. I know that when they were younger my life was pretty lonely. The last three years I have learned that the reason that my mom was always helping others was that it is very rewarding. Yes it is a lot of work for me to manage subbing nearly full time, creating beautiful quilts for others when I receive orders, volunteering when the kids ask or their teachers do, then also volunteering in the community through the Historical Society and other areas. I sometimes don't get much sleep. I sometimes am very exhausted. All of that really is less important when you factor in touching the life of a child or another adult. As I reflect on this Mother's Day I have so much to be thankful for. A supporting husband, three loving children and a community that is very supporting. I am also thankful to a mother who was such an inspiration to me through her daily walk with Christ for without that much of this would not seem very worthwhile. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day.

Combat Bait System Giveaway

I received this Combat Bait Strip System.  I love the new concept of the bait strips. Instead of the boxes like they used to have they have these really easy strips that can be put just about anywhere. I love that they are also able to be hidden. They are very easy to put up. I like that I can put them in the upper cabinet area and that they are out of the way of kids, where I sweep etc. The nice thing about Combat is that it only takes one ant or roach to go into the bait system and they then take that back to the location of all the other ants or roaches to kill them off. That makes for a very nice Roach and Ant Control system.
Combat is also offering a sweepstakes for $1000 It is for  a Visa Gift Card.
With this Giveaway Combat will send the winner the system directly. I will not be sending a coupon to you.
It may take a couple of weeks to receive it once you have won.

Coupon for Dry Idea up to 6 oz

Enter to win the Giveaway for a coupon for Dry Idea up to 6 0z valued at $5.50

I find that winter months are unbearable deodorant wise. I have to switch them up frequently because I get lots of itching and rash from eczema. I was a little worried about trying the new Dry Idea deodorant. I have not itched at all in 2 weeks and I do not have a rash. I have even shaved a few times and still no issues. I am very pleased. I work with Life Skills students and I admit I sweat a lot. I am so thankful to have a deodorant that can withstand my demanding job. I have even worked outside and still it protects me well from any body odor. It is definitely hypoallergenic and I have not had any problems with residue or build up. I highly recommend this product. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Giveaway for a free 28 ox Bottle of Purex Crystals for Baby Coupon

Giveaway for a Free 28 oz bottle of Purex Crystals for Baby Coupon value at $6.00
I loved the Tropical Purex Crystals but I think this is my new all time favorite. My children are in their teens now but I remember loving that Baby Smell. My favorite way to use these new Purex Crystals is for our blankets. There is just something about a clean set of sheets, blankets and a quilt on a bed when you go to sleep at night. These crystals help make that experience complete. I also love that it has a light fragrance so I don't end up with a headache all day if I use it on our clothes or towels. Sometimes I have that experience with laundry detergents, fabric softeners and soaps. You should give this new scent a try, I am sure you will love it. As always Purex provided me with a sample of Purex Crystals for Baby in exchange for my product review. However, all the opinions expressed here are my own. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Combat Bait Kit Giveaway

I have another coupon giveaway for you thanks to Combat. They sent me two of their products to test last month. If you follow my blog you know we have chickens, quail, rabbits and guinea hens. With that comes a problem of ants in our chicken coop and around it. We tried these products out there.
You do have to be a little creative becuase you don't want the chickens to be pecking away at the traps etc. We have the coop up off the ground and have the ability to put a piece of wood under which will block the chickens from entering under their house. The products worked wonderfully and I don't see any ants trailing around. The problem I have inside is roaches, I love their ant baits so much I went out and bought those. I have not seen another roach in the bathroom after one weeks time. Their products are very fast working! If you don't want to enter my giveaway you can go to their site and get $1 off coupon now. You can also enter to win products on their site with their Bug Free Backyard Bash

For this giveaway I will be reporting your info directly to Purex so that Combat can send you your coupon/winning kits. The opinions expressed are my own. I was provided with two items to try our and review.

Soft Scrub Coupon Giveaway

I was given two bottles of Soft Scrub to try out and write a review on. I was also provided with coupons for a giveaway. I decided since they offer a TOTAL ALL PURPOSE cleaner, we would try this out on my stovetop. We have the hardest time with this stovetop, the previous owners purchased the oven/stovetop. This would not have been my choice. I had my 14 year old son do the cleaning to show you how easy it is to use Soft Scrubs product.
Well I would say he did a really good job cleaning with it wouldn't you? It is nice and easy to use and has a new foam option. He let it sit a few minutes and then started scrubbing away. I really like this new household cleaning product Soft Scrub Offers. I love that you can use the bottle upside down in places like your toilet or microwave too! So now is the fun part where I get to give you a coupon to purchase your very own bottle of Soft Scrub. Valued up to $4.69

Set of 5 Marie Bostwick Novel's and a Gift Giveaway

There are only four books pictured because the fifth one was released today, it will be included in this giveaway when shipped. This giveaway is in Honor of my mother Sharon Unger, who passed away from a long battle of illness on July 17, 2010, at the age of 52. The giveaway ends on Mother's Day. This is my first annual giveaway in her honor. She was a wonderful mother who has such am amazing relationship with our heavenly father. She was an avid supporter of my idea to open up Sunshine of Autumn Quilts out of my home. So enter this giveaway today in Memory of her.

There isn't much that I like more than a wonderful book series "Cobbled Court" by Marie Bostwick is high on my list of books to recommend.
I love to read every evening before I go to bed and this series is one that I fully stand by. In today's world with so many obstacles for woman like Breast Cancer, Domestic Violence, Divorce after so many years of marriage, owning your own business etc. It is refreshing to have an author combine real life situations many of us go through, or have friends that go through, with an old fashioned tradition like quilting (and a love story or two thrown in the midst along with some wonderful friendship of a group of women). It reminds me some of my youth with our women's missionary league and the relationship of the women I knew and came to love. Of course, you all know I love quilting, it is something I do nearly every day as a small business, to try and support our family. So come read a little about the books and enter to win a great set, then maybe pass them along to someone else as a Pay it Forward. Happy Reading..Good Luck.
It's a long way from Fort Worth, Texas, to New Bern, Connecticut, yet it only takes a day in the charming Yankee town to make Evelyn Dixon realise she's found her new home. The abrupt end of her marriage was Evelyn's wake-up call to get busy chasing her dream of opening a quilt shop. Finding a store front is easy enough; starting a new life isn't. Little does Evelyn imagine it will bring a trio like Abigail Burgess, her niece Liza, and Margot Matthews through her door.Troubled and angry after her mother's death, Liza threatens to embarrass her Aunt Abigail all over town unless she joins her for quilting classes. A victim of downsizing at the peak of her career, Margot hopes an event hosted by the quilt shop could be a great chance to network - and keep from dying of boredom...As they stitch their unique creations, Evelyn, Abigail, Liza, and Margot form a sisterhood they never sought - but one that they'll be grateful for when the unexpected provides a poignant reminder of the single thread that binds us all...

At twenty-seven, having fled an abusive marriage with little more than her kids and the clothes on her back, Ivy Peterman figures she has nowhere to go but up. Quaint, historic New Bern, Connecticut, seems as good a place as any to start fresh. With a part-time job at the Cobbled Court Quilt Shop and budding friendships, Ivy feels hopeful for the first time in ages. But when a popular quilting TV show is taped at the quilt shop, Ivy's unwitting appearance in an on-air promo alerts her ex-husband to her whereabouts. Suddenly, Ivy is facing the fight of her life - one that forces her to face her deepest fears as a woman and a mother. This time, however, she's got a sisterhood behind her: companions as complex, strong, and lasting as the quilts they stitch...

While New Bern, Connecticut, lies under a blanket of snow, Cobbled Court Quilts remains a cozy haven for its owner, Evelyn Dixon, and her friends. Evelyn relishes winter's slower pace -- besides, internet sales are hopping, thanks to her son Garrett's efforts. In addition to helping out at the shop, Garrett has also been patiently waiting for his girlfriend, Liza, to finish art school in New York City. But as much as Evelyn loves Liza, she wonders if it's a good idea for her son to be so serious so soon with a young woman who s just getting ready to spread her wings.

The economic downturn has hit New Bern, Connecticut, and Tessa Woodruff's herbal apothecary shop, For the Love of Lavender, is suffering. So is her once-happy thirty-four-year marriage to Lee. They'd given up everything to come back to New Bern from Boston and start their business, but now they're wondering if they made the right decision. To relieve the strain, Tessa signs up for a quilting class at the Cobbled Court Quilt Shop, and to her surprise, rediscovers the power of sisterhood - along with the childhood friend she thought she'd lost forever...Madelyn Beecher left New Bern twenty years ago and never looked back. But when her husband is convicted of running a Ponzi scheme and she's left with nothing but her late grandmother's cottage, she is forced to return to the town she fled. Unfortunately, the cottage is in terrible shape. Madelyn's only hope is to transform it into an inn. But to succeed, she'll need the help of her fellow quilters, including the one friend she never thought she'd see again - or forgive. Now Madelyn and Tessa will have to relive old memories, forge new ones, and realize it's possible to start over, one stitch at a time - as long as you're surrounded by friends...

Her newest book just released TODAY!!!
Margot Matthews loves her job at the Cobbled Court Quilt Shop and the life and friendships she's made in New Bern, Connecticut; she just never thought she'd still be single on her fortieth birthday. And Margot's friend, Abigail, is trying to match-make even though Margot has all but given up on romance. When Philippa, a new female pastor arrives in town, truth be told not everyone is happy about it. Yet despite a rocky start, Philippa begins to settle in - finding ways to ease the townspeople's burdens, joining the quilting circle, and forging a fast friendship with Margot. When tragedy threatens to tear Margot's family apart, Philippa's friendship - and the help of the quilting sisterhood - will prove a saving grace. And while she untangles her feelings for another new arrival in town, Margot realizes that it is the surprising detours woven into life's fabric that provide its richest hues...
