Purex Fresh BlueBonnet Detergent Coupon Giveaway

Being a resident in Texas means that spring time is Bluebonnet season. Purex has joined the excitement with this new detergent. I love the scent of this bottle of Purex Fresh Bluebonnet Detergent. It truly reminded me of laundry as a child that was brought in after being hung all day on my grandmother's clothes line outside. It has a fresh scent and is not overpowering scent wise. This is truly important to my family.
We have some laundry obstacles in our house, one is the large amounts of rain we get here in Texas, that means a crazy amount of wash due to dogs and the mud created outside from all this wet weather. It also means I tend to wash a large amount of bedding as well. There is nothing worse than the smell of wet dog.
Of course my daughter may beg to differ as this boys gym clothes are pretty ripe. I am pleased to say that I ran both a load of towels and his gym clothes and you would never know how bad they smelled before. They came out clean, smelling fresh and it really met our needs.
Now about this giveaway. Currently Purex Fresh Bluebonnet detergent can be purchased here in Texas at HEB locations through participating stores. I have a couple of coupons to giveaway for those who would like to enter. The entries are simple and the contest lasts a week.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

All opinions are my own and I was provided a coupon to purchase my own bottle of detergent to provide this review. This is in no way related to Blogger, facebook or any other social media.
The winner will be contacted by email and mailed a coupon for purchasing of the new Fresh Bluebonnet Detergent.

21st Anniversary Quilt

My husband was born and raised in Texas. There is something about Texas that I have never seen in any other state I have lived in or visited and that is their pride in their state. It is like no other. He really loves Texas shirts.
As with anything though, they get stained and worn to much and in this case they were the perfect fit for a gift I wanted to put together. I had tried last year because we were celebrating 20 years. I had to put my idea on hold when my son's life turned upside down and we were struggling just to figure out how to keep him in class. Between doctor visits, picking him up early from school and quilt orders to pay for medical bills there just wasn't enough time.
While I am still trying to figure out the medical bills, my quilt orders had a break. I am waiting for shirts for one customer, her fabric has arrived, and I am waiting on fabric for another order, I have their shirts. Therefore it was the perfect time to put this together. I was going to wait until Valentines Day but I decided that you just don't know what tomorrow brings so I finished it up today to give it to him early/late tonight. It will be a late Anniversary gift, early Valentines Day gift and I know he will love using this one for sure.

Grandma June and Texas

I have family in Utah and California and it seems like unless there is a funeral I don't get to see them these days.
I was so thankful to have my Aunt and Uncle watch my cousins children nearby us so that we could see my Grandma while they were here for a week. We only had one night to see them but it was so nice.
I sure do value this time. Its hard with her being my only grandparent of 6 left. My mother passed 5 years ago so its rough around holidays.
At one point I reminded her I was "Jenny", she says Oh you are, well aren't you pretty, we'll keep you. Then she sang me "You are my Sunshine". It was the most perfect moment. One I will keep always.
My daughter was very taken by her. She doesn't remember her nana, her dad's mom much these days but the forgetfullness sure was so similar. She could not believe my patience and understanding over lost ideas and memories. Just siting holding her hand is plenty.
This is one of my favorite photos from the evening.
