| A daughter contacted me that she wanted to turn her father's clothing into a quilt for her mother using all his work shirts. |

| A customer contacted me and wanted to take her father's clothing and create a memory quilt for her mother. When I contacted her to mail the quilt she let me know her mother had passed. |

| By that time the quilt had arrived and she decided her sister would treasure the quilt and would give it to her. |

| I have a friend that I have never actually met. We became friends online. She was so supportive when my mother passed a few years ago. Recently she lost hers and I offered to make a free quilt. I admire the family so much. She sent a box of clothing, told me the color her mother loved and I did the rest. |

| She wanted to have an extra quilt so she requested the backs of Tshirts and sweatshirts with a blue fabric for the border. It turned out really pretty. I used a patterned fabric for this one since the shirts were all plain. |

| That is the case with these pillows. My customer wanted to save a robe that her mom had worn. I used some of it in her memory quilt, which I had been doing a while, however I hadn't made many pillows that involved an envelope type back as well as clothing on the front. |

| I think they turned out beautifully. I do want to purchase a pinking shear rotary blade as I think it might make it a little easier for edges not to fray on the inside. That would have been a great Pinterest tip. |

| I cut all the clothing very carefully for this order. At first we talked about 6 quilts. She mentioned if I had enough maybe we could do 7, upon cutting and stabilizing I knew we could do at least 8. I wrote to let her know. Once it was stacked into piles per quilt I realized I could make 11 quilts. How amazing. She will be able to provide quilts for some grandchildren, not just the wife and siblings. I am grateful for guidance as I make these quilts. Sometimes what seems impossible truly becomes a blessed memory in a extra quilt or two, in this case four. |

| I decided right then that it would be a great front for a pillow sham/case. I get requests all the time for them and it is an item I have added to my ETSY shop. Today I took the front and then some flannel for a quilt I made for my husband for our anniversary and made him a travel pillow for track. He loves to sleep on the bus, it helps him with not having seizures while he is away. He just needed something small so its only about 14 inches but he will love it. |

| I had made one out of my husbands shirt a while ago, just to see how I wanted to make them. My daughter has claimed it. She loves the feel of the shirt and loves the idea that she can have it as a pillow on her bed. I can see why these are so popular. |

| This quilt is gray with a black scroll binding and purple binding because purple was the grandmother's favorite color, I used purple binding on all three to tie them together |

| This is the mothers quilt, the daughter to the grandmother. Her's I made as a surprise in brown fabric and brown flannel and purple binding. I love how different each of them are and there was so much excess clothing to return for other quilts later if they desire. |

| Nearly every female item was appliqued to fabric because it was desired to have it in its entirety. |

| The middle section had a combination of a couple of her shirts and a few of his to unite the quilt. The mother of the bride had precut many items, so it was a different process for me than normal. |

| There were a couple of His items from baby and younger years, but mainly His items were just Tshirts for the quilt |

| Not all items that were sent were able to be used, some had lots of sequins which my machine didn't like, others I didn't feel would hold up in the quilt so I returned them rather than chancing it. |

| I wrapped the quilt up in a blue border and added a blueberry flannel backing to it. Its my most difficult order to date. Took a full 24 hours to create. |
