Womens' Varsity Choir UIL Competition Junior Year

I was so incredibly sad to miss this competition. It was at the exact time of our son's District Track Meet. If we knew how every race would finish then maybe one of us could have gone and been with her and then the other been with our son.
That being said they did amazing.
It is awesome that they won Sweepstakes  for both the stage and sight reading.
They work incredibly hard. Often missing lunch or advisory where they could be working on school work in order to practice their pieces for competition. 

I am truly thatnkful for photographs. While it is not the same as being there, it is wonderful to have a glimpse of their day.

This is my favorite one, that is my daughter bowing (humbly) in the front row. She cracks me up, such personality. She was so excited. We got home from the track meet that evening and she still had tons of homework to catch up on. Of course it took over 30 minutes to reel her in for focusing on the task at hand.

Junior Year Choir UIL

Today was mixed choir and men's choir competitions for UIL

In between we stopped and snapped some photos

We didn't have long, so we didn't get very many. Men's choir was getting ready to do sight reading.

The women's varsity choir performs tomorrow. I won't be able to get photos since it conflicts with the District Track Meet.

Sometimes they just act funny.

State Celebration at Pep Rally Junior Year

The nice things about daughter being a Historian is that photos typically come from Pep Rally, Credit's go to her. I really see how a better camera would help her in her task. I am praying that we can afford another soon for her. She sure seems to love capturing moments. On a side note we are praying for Zekaryah as he competes at state for Choir in a couple of months. It seems he has major anxiety over the situation and it has increased some seizure activity. I am hoping to help him as he processes all that he has in his mind and encourage those things to be placed at the Lord's feet instead of being carried in his heart.

2015 Winter Choir Performance

We enjoy their winter choir performance. Every year they have baskets to auction off, trees that each class year creates that are auctioned and a dress up/relaxed portion of the show.

They have so many choirs to showcase and each is special in its own way.

My favorite is always the fun portion with them in holiday dress and enjoying themselves

Girls High School Choir

The High School Girls choir competed and did very well, they brought home a trophy. This would mean more a few weeks later when they found out that their teacher would take a position at another school. She would be missed.

Choir

We had a choir performance the other night. The Jr High students did really well. I was impressed. They compete tomorrow at UIL and I am praying they impress the judges and score high. I am thankful I could take the day off so I could spend the morning with our son and the afternoon with our daughter. This year the entire UIL is held on one day. That makes it really nice because I only have to take one day off.

Choir Tshirt Quilt

Another Choir Quilt finished. I had the quilt top done yesterday but needed more batting.

This morning I was able to pin, quilt and bind it. Today I start on the Show Choir Quilt. Hoping to have it done by tomorrow morning.

My tackle it Tuesday was to cut and separate all the choir shirts for their designated quilts. WHEW! I didn't go to bed until about 8 am, then got up at 10 to finish one of my ETSY camp orders. I hope to get pictures of that posted when my oldest gets home.
