Top 10 Percent Breakfast

I am so thankful that the top 10% Breakfast fell in the morning on the Track day so that I could do both. I missed a Choir Field trip with my girly this week because her brother had a meet at the same time. Its tough to decide where to be at times.
She works so incredibly hard. Much harder than I ever remember my oldest working. To him school came naturally. He worked hard but he didn't have to really take notes, he was a natural test taker and he didn't do much in the lines of church leadership.

She writes hours of notes between three classes every day, even on weekends. She truly studies for every test. She puts 150% into projects, she is just amazing.

I am thankful for her dedication to the Lord, rarely ever missing church. She is a student leader there as well as in the band and helping with the children's ministry on Sundays.
She holds a few positions at school, takes 6 Pre-AP/AP courses and Choir where she is involved in two different choirs.
She is one busy kiddo!
To have all A's one B in a set of 3 Nine Weeks is wonderful.
I can't wait to see where Graduation Day takes her. What college the Lord puts in her path and how bright her future will be.

State Celebration at Pep Rally Junior Year

The nice things about daughter being a Historian is that photos typically come from Pep Rally, Credit's go to her. I really see how a better camera would help her in her task. I am praying that we can afford another soon for her. She sure seems to love capturing moments. On a side note we are praying for Zekaryah as he competes at state for Choir in a couple of months. It seems he has major anxiety over the situation and it has increased some seizure activity. I am hoping to help him as he processes all that he has in his mind and encourage those things to be placed at the Lord's feet instead of being carried in his heart.

Turning 40

In October I turned 40. I was working a temporary job at Williams Elementary as a library aid. It was the best job. I loved it so much

I think what made it so wonderful was my co worker. I am so thankful for the time we had together and the friendship that was built.

She threw me this amazing 40th birthday party. It was pretty awesome

Turning 40 was a pretty big deal. My dad turned 60 the same month. I had hoped to go to California and spend that time with my parents. We had done that when he turned 50. My moms passing has changed so much in our lives.

I love that someone took time out of their schedule to make my day so special

The kids that came into the library really loved the decorations and truly could not believe I am 40 years old. That is pretty awesome too.

I absolutely love this shirt. It will go in a quilt soon.

Most of all I am thankful for family. I feel like I have so much to be grateful for. 

I am also thankful for quilting customers like this one. She sent me flowers for my special day to remind me how much I am loved and that my day was one to celebrate, even if I was a little sad missing my mom

Jakobs 18th Birthday

I am so thankful for the opportunity to raise this amazing young man. The Lord surely blessed me by giving me the privilege to watch him grow over these last 18 years. He is always challenging all of us to be better servants to others and leading by example. His hard work and determination show us that anything in life is possible if you believe. Happy Birthday Jakob Wells we love you so much and hope that the Lord will open the doors to grant you the desires of your heart.

Zekaryah's Surprise 16th Birthday Party from His Friends

Happy Birthday 16th Zekaryah from your friends!

I had planned a birthday party for Sunday since Paul was only home a couple of days and had to leave out again for work. He had asked for five friends to get together, go to the movies, have chili dogs, chips and cheesecake. When we were talking on Friday I came to realize that he really wanted to go to church camp and I could not afford to do both the deposit of $100 and have a get together/movies out. He needed to make a decision. I was very proud of him for choosing camp over the get together, I know it was a hard choice to make but with the lack of money coming in we truly could not afford both right now.

My husband and I missed the surprise party that his friends moms threw for him. I was at an Acadec volunteer day for our oldest and Paul was working a side job. I really wish Paul had known so he could have stepped away from work for a while. I know its hard on him to miss this birthday for Zekaryah not only is he turning 16 but he has never missed one of his birthday's before. I am however super thankful that his friends did this for him. I know they made it such a special birthday. Tonight at church he was able to give the pastor his $100 for camp, now he just needs to raise $300 more. Mekenzei was only able to give $16 but hopefully God will also meet her needs as well.
I think the best photo is the boys praying. I know I capture these moments all the time with cross country, track and choir but this one was just as special. It means a lot to see he is surrounded with such a wonderful group of young men.
