Thankful these guys have a home outside now, see how one is STANDING on the water container..planning an escape maybe?

Today I found a bigger container to put some of the baby chicks from this weekend in. I disturbed them but they looked so cute all huddled together.

I can't imagine how safe this must feel, how warm.. I bet this is what the Lord's arms feel like if when we need them

More quilting

I made this quilt for my friend's husband. She had purchased my sewing machine from me a few months back and sent us a gift card for food. I had some extra fabric so I made her husband this quilt with shirts he sent me

I love this blue fabric, it has a pretty scroll print on it

I finally have finished the frog quilt and it is listed on ETSY for $120. I sure hope it sells.

I love frogs so this was fun to make, each center block has a unique frog fabric

I love the flannel on the back, there are words across it in the same colors that are in the fabrics on the front. I pinned the flannel long ways so that it works with the length of the quilt.

Our Newest Adventure- Chickens

I am loving all the quail and chicken. We hatched 30 over the weekend, 2 did not make it, so we ended up with 28 of our own chicks from the eggs in the incubator plus the ten I bought. That is a lot of birds! It will be nice when we start getting eggs and we can give/sell eggs to those that want/need them, as well as have some for ourselves.

6 Tee Shirt Quilt Giveaway

I feel so blessed that the Lord has been providing lots of orders. We are in some challenging times financially but I still want to recognize how much your word of mouth by my followers makes a difference in allowing the Lord to work in our lives. It is hard to be a small town business. I really depend on you for advertising to help my company grow. To celebrate Mother's Day next month I am hosting a giveaway for a 6 Tshirt quilt, the finished size will be 40 by 60- a nice size lap quilt.

I have done a few 12 shirts in the past, and I have a few followers that never have enough shirts, so let's try this one so more of you can join in the fun. You should be able to fit all your shirts in a medium size box to ship to me, if you win, for about $12. Your quilt will be blue fabric on the front and back.

Tackle it Tuesday

This is a gift for a customers husbands birthday. The quilt holds only 6 Tshirts. I have never done one so small. I decided to cut the fabric wider to create a 40 by 60 (roughly) quilt for him. It turned out great. I had to repair a couple shirts and add the logo from the front of one of the shirts since they were pretty worn. I am hoping he loves his gift. I now have a new design to offer for $75 too..

Turquoise Zeta Quilt

Recent Quilt order I finished this week. The customer said her daughter's sorority color was turquoise so I helped her find the perfect fabric online from fabric.com. She had a diagram for how she wanted the shirts placed and also wanted her name on the quilt, so for this one I added a thicker border to the outside.

Prayer Request

Praying for my brother in laws best friend, he had a massive heart attack last night, he pulled over not feeling well and his son called 911 after the dad passed out. It took four people calling to get a hold of 911, they had to revive him. He had another heart attack at the hospital and went in for surgery for the balloon insert. No update this morning yet. Please pray for the son who went through all this, the father who is not quite 50, that recovery will come quick. Thank you friends..

Track TShirt Quilt

Another Track Quilt finished. She had precut two of the shirts and I decided to embroider/applique them onto two other shirt backs to make it work with the other shirts and border fabric. I found a pretty purple thread to use for the stitching.

I think they turned out really well. I even stabilized both layers to ensure it would fair well after washing

I love this pretty purple cotton fabric I found for the handmade binding. It matched really well.

A great way to remember some track days

I am hoping when my children are done with school they can have a quilt very similar with all their track/sport shirts.
